Most of us filed in July but had our cases transfered to TSC later. For example, I filed July 12 @ NSC and the receipt was generated on Sept 10 from TSC. I know of others with ND Sept 10 @ TSC who didn't receive FP notices, including coworkers of mine. It looks like someone at TSC took a few shortcuts during the receipting process.
My frustration comes from the fact that I've called three times and opened SRs but still nothing. I don't see how someone can honestly screw up three times and fail to schedule a simple FP appointment. If this is such a huge task for them you can imagine how the entire process is handled and why we 're all stuck waiting for name checks, priority dates, processing dates, biometrics appointments, extended reviews, and the rest of the crap...
By now you should have had your EAD and AP in hand - after FP was done. What was the reason for the delay? Most of these cases got FP notices within 4 weeks of Aug 17th.

Few days ago, I saw this on TV - An American soldier died in Iraq leaving behind a 29 year old Polish wife and 6-month-old US citizen baby. Wife's paper (adjustment of status from K1->GC) was pending for 6 months or so with USCIS. When USCIS came to know about the death of that soldier (US citizen and I do not know how they came to know about it), they issued deportation order for his wife. Reason being, primary applicant is no more in this world so his dependent's application is null and void. She has been running from door to door with a baby in one arm and death letter of her husband with deportation order in the other arm. There is no one to listen to her. She lost her husband; she is going to lose her house and ability to stay in this country.
I absolutely hate to say this but Mehul, I think your wife will be better off in her home country. Please weight this option as well. My prayers are with you.

We should not mix the interpretation of eb2/3 visas with other immigrant visas including other eb due to perm.

Adding dependents/derivative is based on primary�s PD and app status.
Challenge me with a scenario that will have an issue. If someone doesn�t have H4 they will be affected anyways. They will not have additional impact due to this.
Please read INA, I485 application and current VB.
I personally believe none will be affected and left too behind (yes, they will be delayed a bit, they will have AP/EAD to hold on to).
(1) I am on H1b and wife on H4 . I have PD of Jan 2008. Now In july 2009 VB shows Eb2 india with PD of Mar 2008 and F2A with Jan 2005. I will be able to file for 485 will my wife can file 485 ?
(2) If she cannot file and what if my company insist me to be on EAD and resufe to extend my H1b. What will be status of my wife.. ( Assuming she didnot file AOS while I did ).
(3) What will be her category or status if I am lucky and get GC in 2 months since my date become current ?
I think just simply saying use FB quota for dependent doesnot make sense. We need to have answer to this. I agree that Law allows INS to use FB qupta for dependent but at same time so many other restriction prevent them to use it. Like dead lock condition.

I have postponed my finger prints when I was in India back in Oct 2007, and I haven't got yet, should I ask them send it again or should I wait untill they send it to me.
I heared some where in the forum that when your comeback to India they took fingerprints at the prot of entry and that is sufficient.
Is that true?

This is NOT an initiative that the ENTIRE IV community supports and hence will NOT be taken up by state chapter heads. The key here is UNITY UNITY UNITY. You have chosen to break the FIRST CODE of IV ethics and that is UNITY.
Lastly, it is NOT upto YOU to decide what is ethical and unethical. It is upto the CORE team. So please consult with the core team before you make up the rules.

We got our receipts today. Mailed out the application on the 2nd - Reached NSC on the 3rd. Receipt numbers are SRC so my case got transferred to TSC.

I don't think its much different from what is posted. Only one time contributions are being considered for this event.
I have a shared doc with StarSun and all known ones have been accounted for the above total.
Only one month left to achieve our funding goals.
It does look like there are only a few hundred (~200) willing to actively participate for the good of others. About 0.04 % of all EB2, EB3 filers.
One possible strategy.......
Dividing 50,000 into that, it will be great if you hardworking people, fighting for legal immigrants, can touch about $200-400 each,
while the rest watch from the sidelines and cheer for us :), and also debate & analyze spiritedly.....
I'm at $300 now for this event

I am really surprised that you guys are contemplating on going against your employer for a employment letter and filing your GC. I mean, how hard is it for you guys to agree to the terms of your employer that you will work till you get your GC and upto 6 months beyond that..
If you guys came before 2001-2002 and seen how the situation was for green card filers you will now what I am talking about..
1. There was no concurrent filing of I-140/485
2. There was no premium processing for Labor
3. There was no premium processing for I-140
4. There was no AC-21, so there is no way of switching jobs..
Still it used to take 4-5 years to get a GC.
And you guys are complaining about your employer because you worked for 1-2 years and you want to quit as soon as you get EAD..
Just imagine what would have happened if the dates were not CURRENT.. How many more years you would have worked, cursing USCIS

Roger and BECsufferer, I hear your arguments and you two have a valid point of view. We need to do something at the least. Not doing anything is not an option.
However, please understand, we are asking for "fair" and "equitable" treatment for those who are already inside the country and devoted sufficient time of their life here. To me this means "justice." If you are constantly denied justice then there is constitution to protect the rights.
We are not asking for their "help" or "favor". Although immigration is a privilege, there is a law that governs it and it seems it is possible that EB Indians are targeted by this administration. Infact in good times of this country we have done it a lot of favor instead of our home country. Now is the time to ask for "rights" for our contribution.
My question is, if Americans are distressed and EB India are cause of it, why did they let us in in the first place? So is it something that immigration is privilege when they need it and then chuck us out when they dont? Are you upto accepting that we are commodities to be used and thrown when they like?

What do you think we should be doing at this site? What is the objective of this site? Is everyone being part of that objective? What would be a constructive post to be a part of objective? What effort people have put toward the objective?

No reason to loose energy. Enjoy what you have and make the best out of it. Agree, this should be the way everybody lives his/her life. While you have little control of it, just enjoy your time as you usually do. Eat your favorite food, love your love, don't let anything behind because of this issue.
