I don't think having a MS degree supercedes a BS always.
How can you compare say for example a BS+10 yrs person with a kid just out of school doing MS. Doesn't jive. I think at somepoint both level off. Just merely having a MS degree doesn't mean anything without experience.

You are right in your observation. But, the SKIL Bill seems to place emphasis on people with advanced degrees. So, whether you and I agree about the Bachelors + work experience part or not, the fact of the matter is that the Bill exempts people with advanced degrees from cap limits.

Wait for a couple of more weeks-- It is on the way. Don't go by the dates USCIS posted. They apparently don't correctly reflect the actual.
i sent application for me and my wife on july 6th NSC my I 140 was applied in TSC . i am NJ resident. wife took info pass appointmnet as no check cashed, no notice receive. started worrying now. as NSC is updating even new applications no sure if my case was transferred to TSC or not . any body in same boat ? application was signed by R williams in NSC.

I have received personal responses back from both Feinstein and Boxer at this point.

You will see a date on I-485 only if you filed I-140 & I-485 concurrently. Even my I-485 does not have any priority date.

Working on EAD for a short time, even in a different occupation, with 1099 is not an issue. However, this will not satisfy the requirement for 485 approval. You must have a valid fulltime, permanant job offer in the same or related occupation at the time of 485 approval as well as when they issue a RFE regarding your employment.

To all sorts of flower campaigns,
Let us first complete July 10th mission flower campaign, where many people here including me has sent flowers for july 10th delivery.
Let us see its impact by July 11th and then try another round by sending flowers to local senators and congressmen with simple message of costs involved and lost money and oppurtunity by revised july bulletin.
Also, unless we make explicit mention of costs involved, i think impact wouldnot be felt.
Please plan the missions one after the other.

I am not hitting on employers revenues, infact employer made money since two yrs because of me. The reason is, employer never got this project for me. It never had any business either with PF or with the client earlier. It was only because of my contact with the PF i got the project. i introduced the PF to my employer, have them sign a contract and since these two yrs my employer was able to place 4-5 consultants through the PF i introduced to them. Now tell me, how much my employer would have made because of me or other consultants??? Even after all this, he is being mean to me. these desi companies thirst for money is never ending. whereas consulatnts can never look up for a better life!!!!!!

As for sending flowers to Chertoff or Rice - It is good but let us stick with one person for now (Emilio). Unless you are willing to send to all three :). It will seem like there is more unity amongst us if we send more "number" of flowers.

Hi All,
I have to do the landing before june, 2008.
I have already used AP to enter US after my last trip to India. So IO at POE canada will know that I have pending 485. don't know how to handle this situation.
I am planning to do the landing in last week of may via Niagra falls. (toronto)

Yup, kshitijnt you are right on target, we need to do some thing constructive and let our voices heard.
BECSufferer made it right heading...channel your anger.
My intention was more to think in right way and discourage potential -ve result bound strategies.
During presidential campaign there were all over promises on clearing backlogs, we can go on that basis and make a point of that.
One thing is clear if they like to stop outsourcing sure they have to encourage and stream line legal immigration they cannot stop or survive but cutting outsourcing as well leaving this legal immigration in limbo.
Besides what we can do at this juncture, keep our voices heard by contacting, writing letters.
1. In a world leading country processing a decade back applications is not an encouraging trend to legal immigration, this may send a wrong signal to legal immigration over illegal immigration.
2. Can highlight ecomonic point based on these math...
Ex: 500,000 EB backlog persons contribution to the country, social taxes = xxx, medicare = xxx, travel=xxx, housing =xxx.

Guys...please stop this useless discussion of whether to give priority to US educated professionals Vs. Non-US education professionals. First of all, we are not the one who have decision power on this one. Secondly, it will make us weak by dividing on such matter. Rather, lets stop this useless discussion and continue working toward our common goal.
